A downloadable game for Android
Butterfly Catcher is a unique virtual reality experience where the player has the opportunity to interact with butterflies while simultaneously learning about their behaviours, ecosystems and history. Focusing on passing on exciting knowledge about endangered Australian butterflies to the player base, Butterfly Catcher allows for players to really feel like they’re with the butterflies they’re learning about.

Created in 3 weeks as a student project at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (1 week for artists).

Download
Install instructions
- Download the zip containing the APK file for Butterfly Catcher.
- Enable developer mode for Oculus Go.
- Install the PC driver to allow your PC to install apps on the Oculus Go headset (find on Oculus.com).
- Connect headset to PC.
- Open Command Prompt on your PC.
- Enter the CD command to navigate to the folder you extracted the contents of the ADB download to. Example:
CD C:\ADB - Enter the adb install -r command followed by the full path to the sideloaded app you want to install. Android apps end in .apk. Example:
adb install -r C:\Users\YourName\Downloads\ButterflyCatcherVR.apk
